Hong Kong Alley Cat Watch Adoption Gallery: main > Adopt an FIV Positive Cat >
1) Buster the cat rescued from the kennels is very friendly. He's a real sweetheart and seems to have gotten over his cat flu very quickly. If you'd be interested in adopting him, then please contact me. He will go into foster, but we will be looking for a permanent home for him. Many thanks.
2) Kei Kei is also being fostered, so please contact us should you like to go and visit her.
3) Simba the gorgeous white persian and her FIV friends are all looking for homes. They are healthy, though Simba doesn't like anyone touching her leg, it will probably need to be checkd. However if you'd be interested in any of them, please contact us.
If you have a multi-cat household and one of them is FIV positive, there is a small chance that your FIV cat would infect any of your other cats. FIV is mainly spread from cat bites, so if your cats get along fine then there is a small chance this could spread.
If you've already got an FIV positive cat in at home on its own, perhaps you could consider adding a friend for him/her.
FIV positive cats can live healthy happy lives, I've come across a number of people that have refused to put their FIV cats to sleep. They cats have lived long and healthy happy lives and have not infected their negative housemates. It's food for thought, but please bear this in mind when making any decisions.
